Cause of Brook Lane Flooding

13:02 May 16 2011 Corner of Sanders Road & Brick Road

Description
The Cascade Irrigation District canal (ditch) that runs along Sanders Road is dumping more water into Wilson Creek at the intersection of Sanders Road & Brick Road than is coming naturally down Wilson Creek. This is the major cause of the flooding to McElroy Park and the properties south of the park and along Brook Lane. The main cause is not from Wilson Creek stormwater but from irrigation water being released through the canal into Wilson Creek. The canal should have been and needs to be shut down at the west end. Pictures taken earlier this evening are available.
Credibility: UP DOWN 1
